Organized by the Department of Postal and based on the Deen Dayal Sparsh Yojana, the inter-school Philately exam aimed to foster interest in philately among students and encourage them to explore the history, culture, and significance of stamps. A total of 440 students from various schools participated in the exam, which consisted of 50
multiple-choice questions covering diverse aspects of philately. The topics included the history of stamps, stamp design and collection, postal history, and thematic philately.
The exam highlighted the significant interest in philately among students, who demonstrated a strong understanding of philatelic concepts. Additionally, students who performed well were eligible to avail of the scholarship offered under the Deen Dayal Sparsh Yojana Scholarship. The event was a success, raising awareness and enthusiasm for philately, and encouraging students to appreciate the cultural and historical significance of stamps.
