The date of polling was on Saturday i.e 22.06.2024.
The students of VIII, IX and X classes came to the polling station and cast their votes to their candidates.
There was a record turnout of the voting up to 98%.
The counting of votes took place in the school’s auditorium at 10.30am.
Master. Justin Paul of X std ‘F’ section won as SPL of the school with record votes of 378.
Master Godson stood second as the deputy SPL.
The election process was concluded with the announcing of results and vote of thanks.
The aims and objectives of ELC
An Electoral Literacy Club is a platform to engage school students through interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitise them on their electoral rights and familiarise them with the electoral process of registration and voting.
1. ELC conducts school parliamentary election.
2. Gives awareness about electoral procedure.
3. Teaches the importance of voting.
4. Prepares future citizens of India.

SJIHS is proud to elect its student’s representatives in free and fair elections. The school student’s council committee and the ELC took charge of conducting election for the students’ council. The School Principal Respected, Fr. Cyril Menezes presided and supervised the entire election process as the chief election commissioner.
The date of notification of election was on 10th June 2024.
Filing of Nomination began on 14th June. The scrutiny of nominations was done by the micro-observer team headed by the vice principal Mrs. Savitha and Physical education teachers Mr. Vincent Paul and Mr. Jai Jagadeesh.

Leaders were taught how to be humble, do the work efficiently and sincerely.
The session ended with the quote " listen to your elders not because they are always right but they have an experience of being wrong".

Commomarating of Constitution Day.
Venue: Quadrangle.
On November 26, 2024, St.Joseph's Indian High School, celebrated Constitution Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The day began with a special assembly, where the students and teachers gathered to pay tribute to the architects of the Indian Constitution.Highlights of the Program.
Pledge Ceremony: The students and teachers took a pledge to uphold the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution was a grand success. The program helped to create awareness among the students about the significance of the Constitution and its relevance in our daily lives. The school principal, Rev Fr Cyril Menezes, thanked the students, and teachers, for making the program a success.

Introduction
On January 25, 2025,ST JOSEPH’S INDIAN HIGH SCHOOL, celebrated National Voters' Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event aimed to educate students about the importance of voting, democracy, and civic responsibilities.This was followed by a special general assembly, where students presented prayer,quote,speech,and significance,related to democracy and voting.
Kite -Making Competition: Students created posters and slogans to spread awareness about the importance of voting.
Principal Address:Fr,Cyril Menezes SJ, addressed the gathering with a renowned social activist, who stressed the need for responsible and informed importance of voting.
The Voters' Day celebrations at our school was a resounding success. The event not only educated students about the importance of voting but also encouraged them to become responsible citizens.
