St Joseph's Indian High School, Bengaluru in collaboration with SAMAGRA - St
Joseph's Holistic Development and Wellness Center, organized one day staff
orientation programme in SAMGRA, BJES Campus on 18th May 2022.
The Programme commenced with a Prayer service led by Dr Rekha asking for
special blessings for all the teachers for the new academic year. In the prayer room
"Sanidhya" all the teachers were invited to light a candle as symbol of their light to
shine and spread the brightness in the lives of students.
After the prayer service the teachers moved to the Programme venue at Loyola
Hall for the inaugural session. Mrs Nola D'Lima, compered the inaugural program,
Rev Fr Brian Pereira SJ, Rector & Vice President of BJES & Director of
SAMAGRA, Dr Rekha Assistant Director of SAMGRA, Rev Fr Cyril Menezes SJ,
Principal of SJIHS, Mrs Savitha, Vice Principal of SJIHS were present on the dais for the inaugural program, Mrs Lorraine welcomed the gathering.
Rev Fr Brain Pereira SJ took a session on the New look of Modern teaching
method in the Education system today. Fr Cyril Menezes SJ addressed the staff
and thanked Fr Brain Pereira SJ and team for giving the opportunity to conduct the
staff orientation in their campus
After the tea break Dr Rekha took a session on Self-care and Accompaniment: as the "two sides of the same coin". During the session a few group activities were conducted for the staffs who were asked to share their experience through a role play. After lunch break an action song taught by Mrs Lorraine and Ms Nirma Dsouza.
This was followed by a session by Dr Rekha who spoke on Counseling skills for
the teachers who is a Mentor to the students in the classroom and also taught a few exercises which help in relaxing the students.
The final session was conducted by Fr Brain Pereira SJ on A, B, C, D as a Formula for teaching profession. The session concluded with a web net activity for connecting teachers for sharing their Dream in order to promote SJIHS Brand.
Mrs Josephine Flora Proposed the Vote of Thanks. Ms Nirma Dsouza Coordinated the entire programme.
