Graduation Day Ceremony

The Graduation Day was a proud and joyful occasion, celebrating the achievements of our students. The event began with the Graduation March, Change of Guard, and the Lighting of the Lamp. A prayer service set a solemn tone, followed by student reflections from DSPL (Eng. Med) and Dhanush (Kan. Med).

The principal’s message emphasized perseverance, while Chief Guest Mr. Balaji Janakiraman Iyer the alumnus, inspired students to strive for excellence. Rector Rev. Fr. Joseph D'Souza and Guest of Honour Mr. Vishal Pereira shared words of wisdom.

Scholarship Distribution Ceremony 2025

The Mr. Janakiraman & Mrs. Ekanandan Scholarship Distribution Ceremony was held on February 5, 2025, celebrating academic excellence. 

Chief Guest Mr. Janakiraman, the alumnus, delivered an inspiring address, and Fr. Principal emphasized hard work and perseverance. Scholarships were distributed under the guidance of Mrs. Monica, Mrs. Sujatha, and Mrs. Rashmi.

The ceremony also honoured club and sports achievements, concluding with a theme dance performance. The event highlighted the institution’s commitment to nurturing talent and excellence.

Republic Day Celebrations

St. Joseph’s Indian High School celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025, with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.

The event began with the flag hoisting ceremony, where the school principal and the chief guest, Mr. Raji Koshy, Alumnus, unfurled the national flag as the school band played the national anthem. This was followed by a welcome speech, prayer, and a message on the significance of Republic Day.

Gym Inauguration

St. Joseph’s Indian High School, in collaboration with the Alumni Association, inaugurated a new gymnasium on January 26. Sponsored by alumnus Mr. Joshua, the facility was set up under the leadership of the alumni sports committee. The event, blessed by Fr. Joseph D’Souza, was led by Principal Fr. Cyril Menezes, who thanked the alumni for their contributions. Staff, students, and alumni attended the ceremony, which concluded with refreshments.

The Math Talent Exam was conducted on November 9, 2024, by the Math Club in collaboration with Putani Vignana, Chitradurga. A total of 74 students participated enthusiastically, bringing glory to the school by securing top ranks at the National, State, and District levels.

National Voters' Day Celebration

St. Joseph’s Indian High School celebrated National Voters' Day with great enthusiasm to educate students on the importance of voting, democracy, and civic responsibility. A special assembly featured a prayer, a quote, a speech, and insights on democracy and voting.

A kite-making competition was held, where students designed posters and slogans promoting voter awareness. Principal Fr. Cyril Menezes S.J., addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of informed and responsible voting.

The Science Club organized an engaging session on "Future Technologies - Uses, Advantages, and Limitations." The guest speaker, Mr. Dharuka Prasad, a professor at BMS Engineering College, provided valuable insights into technological advancements and their potential risks if misused.

The 9th-grade students actively participated, asking thought-provoking questions. The session proved to be highly informative and thought-provoking, leaving students with a deeper understanding of the future of technology.
